Summary
The Instant Discount module will place a customer, upon sign up, in one and/or two price/Availability groups that you select. The module will also send out emails to the customer and admin, if set. This will allow you to advertise to your customers that they will receive xx% off of list price by just signing up.
The customer must be logged in before putting items in the basket. Miva price groups calculate discounts when the item is put into the basket. You would likely inform your users that they need to create an account before putting items in basket to get the instant discount. A good way to do this is to put the message in the basket page header and use our Basket Redirect module
Configuration
| Module is: | This is the master switch for the module. The module is either On or Off. |
| Price Group 1: | Enter you first Price Group here. The Miva Price Groups should already be set up before you activate this module. |
| Avail Group 1: | Enter you first Availability Group here. The Miva Availability Groups should already be set up before you activate this module. |
| Price Group 2: | Enter you second Price Group here (if any). |
| Avail Group 2: | Enter you second Availability Group here (if any). |
| Admin Email On: | Select Yes if you want the module to send an email to the Miva Admin when a customer signs up. |
| Admin Email: | Enter the email address of the Admin contact that the email notification should go to when a customer signs up. |
| From Email: | Enter the email address that the email will be from. |
| Email Subject: | Enter the Subject line
that will appear in the email. Example: Thanks for joining us %first_name% |
| Email Text: | Enter the body of the
email that will be sent to the customer. Example: %first_name% %last_name%, Thank you for signing up for an account on our site. Your login name is %login% and your registered email address is %email%. You should instantly see a 10% discount on all of our products. Installation
Installing the NP_InstantDiscount module:
1. Save and extract the ZIP file that contains the ReadMe and Module.
2. Run the Miva administration program (admin).
3. Click on the arrow next to Modules.
4. Click on "Add Modules"
5. Click on the "Upload" graphic buitton.
6. Enter (or browse for) the filename of the module on your system.
7. Click on the "Upload" button
8. Clisk on the "Add" button.
[The module will now be installed on your site.]
Installing the NP_InstantDiscount module in your Store:
1. Run the Miva administration program (admin).
2. Click on the arrow next to Stores.
3. Click on the arrow next to "YourStore".
4. Click on "System Extension Configuration".
5. CheckMark the box next to NetPush InstantDiscount.
6. Click on "Update".
[The module will now be installed in your store.]
Configuring the NP_InstantDiscount in your Store:
1. Click on the name of the module (NetPush InstantDiscount).
2. Configure as needed.
3. Click on "Update".
[The module will now be active in your store.]
