Summary
The HitsLink module will allow your Miva Merchant store to dynamically record
page hits in your stats account at HitsLink. This module will simulate the
page in Miva that your customer is on. For example, in your HitsLink stats,
you would see Miva_srch or Miva_ctgy_Flowers instead of
merchant.mvc or a long query string. This makes your statistics easier
to read. Invoices are also recorded at checkout and can help you track the
success of advertising campaigns like Pay Per Click.
This module requires you to be registered and have an account at HitsLink.
It also requires you to purchase this module and install it in your store.
It is important to note that purchasing this module does not give you an account
with HitsLink. NetPush and HitsLink are two different companies. We (Netpush)
are providing you with the module to allow your store to interface with HitsLink.
HitsLink provides a web site statistics service that does not belong to NetPush.

Configuration
| Module is: | This is the master switch for the module. The module is either On or Off. |
| Normal Tracking Script: | Paste the normal tracking script in this
text box. To obtain this script, do the following: 1. Login
to your HitsLink account area using your user name and password Note: You must place this javascript in all of your other static pages for tracking purposes. This module will place the code in all Miva pages for you, but you must manually put it in other pages outside of Miva. |
| Orders Confirmation Page: | Paste the orders confirmation page script
in this text box. To obtain this script, do the following: 1. Login
to your HitsLink account area using your user name and password Note: You must register for the Enterprise Edition on HitsLink to record invoices (ecommerce section). If you did not register for this function, you can select the option in your account area. |
Installation
Installing the NP_HitsLink module:
1. Save and extract the ZIP file that contains the Read Me and Module.
2. Run the Miva administration program (admin).
3. Click on the arrow next to Modules.
4. Click on "Add Modules"
5. Click on the "Upload" graphic button.
6. Enter (or browse for) the filename of the module on your system.
7. Click on the "Upload" button
8. Click on the "Add" button.
[The module will now be installed on your site.]
Installing the NP_HitsLink module in your Store:
1. Run the Miva administration program (admin).
2. Click on the arrow next to Stores.
3. Click on the arrow next to the name of your store.
4. Click on "System Extension Configuration".
5. Check the checkbox next to NetPush HitsLink.
6. Click on "Update".
[The module will now be installed in your store.]
Configuring the NP_HitsLink module in your Store:
1. Click on the name of the module (NetPush HitsLink).
2. Configure as needed.
3. Click on "Update".
